Space is delighted to announce a creative awards double at the MAA 2017 #DoDifferent awards for its work with both UEFA and Arla Foods.

The agency’s UEFA Euro 2016 Trophy Tour won the best International Marketing award whilst it’s Arla White Wednesdays campaign won the accolade for best Opportunistic Marketing.

The UEFA Euro 2016 Trophy Tour, a specially commissioned train featuring five carriages transformed into unique brand experiences, toured 25 cities across France over 62 days. Igniting the passion of football fans in the build up to the UEFA Euro 2016 tournament, over 100,000 fans experienced this ambitious tour with a global media reach of more than 100 million.

Turning every Wednesday in December white and naming them Arla White Wednesdays, this campaign aimed to raise awareness of Arla’s farmer-owned status and champion the UK dairy industry. From a Farmer Christmas launch video to a herd of white cows roaming London, from press ads to in-store POS; it informed our dairy loving nation how they could support the future of dairy by choosing Arla products as all the profits go back to the farmers and their families. The campaign increased Arla spontaneous brand awareness by 25% and helped lay the foundations for the Arla brand to record the largest growth of any of the top 100 UK grocery brands in The Grocer’s prestigious Britain’s Biggest Brands Index.

Greg McAlinden, Creative Director at Space, commented: “These two awards are a fitting recognition of the collective efforts of our clients and the team here at Space in pushing creative boundaries and the impact this has had on these businesses.Working with UEFA on one of the most high profile events of 2016 and with Arla on such an important message as the future of dairy was both a privilege and an honour; and to be acknowledged by the judges and our peers in this way is especially pleasing. It shows the depth and breadth of our creativity; and the fact that we may now need a bigger mantelpiece to house these awards.”

These latest two creative awards complete a stellar 12 months for Space on both the domestic and international awards circuit. The agency scooped it’s second IPM Grand Prix award, at the start of 2016, for its Coral #Cheltenham campaign; making it the only UK creative agency to have won two IPM Grand Prix awards in the past 10 years. And, later in 2016, its Coral #Cheltenham work triumphed on the international stage at the IMCC awards winning four silver gongs; making Space the most successful creative agency in the UK.
